Don’t you know people who live in Texas coastal counties are entitled to “affordable” wind insurance? It’s not their fault they choose to move into one of the many newly developed planned communities in hurricane alley! LOL.
TWIA is a ticking time bomb. Something like a measly $3B in funding available. When the CAT 5 rolls on in (slowly) at the Galveston/Brazoria County line, we’re gonna be in a world of underfunded hurt and assessment nightmares. The TX Fair Plan isn’t any better at charging appropriate rates.
