Lancer Insurance company, a division of Core Specialty, has been a leading provider of premier specialty insurance solutions to businesses and commercial transportation companies for more than 35 years. We are seeking a Sr. Statutory Accountant to work at our Long Beach, NY office. After your training and onboarding, you will enjoy the ability to work a hybrid schedule if desired. This position will also have great visibility to our Lancer CFO.

The expected base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 plus bonus eligible.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage monthly deductible billing process
- Prepare quarterly and annual premium & corporate tax filings for:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries capturing
- Maintain the insurance database and generate monthly/quarterly reports
- Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory filings
- Assist with preparation of annual audited statutory and US GAAP financial statements
- Assist with ad-hoc projects
Technical Knowledge:

- Technical Industry and/or Profession Expertise
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Applications including: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and Teams

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree Accounting or Finance
- CPA or Master's degree a plus
- Continuing education in Statutory Accounting Principals
- 5+ years of P&C Insurance Accounting experience
- Statutory & GAAP Accounting
- Reinsurance Accounting
- Bachelor's degree Accounting or Finance
- CPA or Master's degree a plus
- Experience researching and resolving complex issues
