Yajaira Villegas, RPLU
Senior Vice President
Healthcare Management Liability Program

Amwins recently announced that Yajaira Villegas, RPLU has been appointed as the head of GJS Co.’s healthcare management liability program, part of Amwins Underwriting.

Based in Anaheim, the GJS Co. program offers insurance solutions for healthcare management liability exposures and providing retail producers the best possible service, professionalism and knowledge, based on strong, lasting underwriting relationships with leading insurance companies. GJS Co.’s group of specialized underwriters are committed to developing tailored solutions for the industries they serve.

Yajaira joins GJS Co., from Travelers where she worked as underwriting director serving as the underwriting expert for all Healthcare D&O and EPL over-authority accounts written by GJS Co. She also operated as principal liaison responsible for overall relationship management, creation and implementation of underwriting strategy and workflow improvements.

Yajaira brings 20+ years of underwriting experience holding various roles within Travelers and often appears as a guest panelist at tradeshows, conferences, and industry events.

Tim Barnhorst
Senior Vice President, Program Manager – Eastern/Midwest U.S. & Canada
MountainGuard Insurance Program

Amwins Program Underwriters (APU), part of the Amwins Underwriting division, announced that, going forward, Tim Barnhorst will be responsible for the operational oversight of MountainGuard‘s Portsmouth, NH office as well as the sales efforts in Eastern and Midwest U.S. and Canadian territories. Tim Hendrickson will continue to oversee MountainGuard’s Park City, UT operations and the sales efforts in Western U.S. and Canada.

Tim Barnhorst joined the MountainGuard team in 2010 as a Client Service Specialist and Associate Producer. Tim quickly developed his insurance acumen by earning his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations within his first three years in the insurance business. In 2018, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President, and in 2019 he assumed the role of Vice President. Tim currently serves as senior vice president and program manager running the eastern office of the MountainGuard program.

The MountainGuard insurance program has been insuring the ski industry for over 60 years. The program is designed to provide comprehensive property and casualty coverage for all standard alpine ski operations in the United States and Canada. For more information, visit www.mountainguard.com.

Yulanda Dudley
Associate Director
Roofing Contractors Insurance Program

Yulanda Dudley recently joined Amwins as Associate Director of Amwins Program Underwriters’ Roofing Contractors program. Yulanda brings more than 20 years of commercial casualty insurance expertise to the firm.

Prior to joining Amwins, Yulanda was an underwriter at Partners General Insurance Agency where she serviced small and medium sized general and excess liability commercial accounts. Typical accounts included machinery manufacturers, restaurants, grocery stores, malls and other retail merchants, hotels/motels, office complexes, movie theaters, construction exposures and habitational exposures. Before to joining Partners, Yulanda held underwriting positions at Crum & Forster Wholesale E&S, CNA Insurance Company, Chubb Group, and Atlantic Mutual.

Yulanda is a graduate of Chubb Insurance’s Chubb Associate Program, received a Business Management diploma from Robert Morris College, and an associate degree from the University of Phoenix.

Candee Fields
Program Underwriter
Fire Sprinkler Select Insurance Program

Candee Fields joined Amwins in 2017 as Senior Associate Underwriter for Amwins Program Underwriters’ Fire Sprinkler Select & Roofing Contractors insurance programs. Candee was recently promoted to Program Underwriter for the Fire Sprinkler Select (Fire Sprinkler Contractors) Program where she is responsible for risk selection and underwriting the program’s profitable book of business. Prior to joining Amwins, Candee served for 11 years as the Texas & Louisiana Marketing Office Manager for AFCO Premium Finance, a BB&T/Truist Bank company. In this role, she managed all functions of the AFCO Dallas Marketing office, including oversight of the marketing team, management of Texas and Louisiana agency relations, and the finance support for multi-million-dollar commercial insurance programs. Prior to working at AFCO, she was a commercial lines producer for 10 years at large Dallas insurance agencies including Aon and RHSB Insurance Dallas (Roach Howard Smith & Barton).

Candee is a former board member of the Dallas Association of Insurance Professionals (DAIP).
