Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$130,600.00 - $215,400.00

What Is the Opportunity?

As a member of Enterprise Architecture and Emerging Technology, you’ll be joining a strategic and collaborative team that is passionate about transforming our business and technology capabilities and paving the way for best-in-class solutions.
As a Senior Architect within the BI architecture organization, you will collaborate with senior Technology and Business leaders and apply your knowledge of modern technology to influence and innovate solutions that impact the business. In this role we will look to you to:
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Business Architects, Line of business engineers and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon EMR and Snowflake.
• Help us to build solutions by delivering on technical engagements with partners and customers.
• Help the program team to deliver by leveraging cloud native and enterprise approved cloud tools and technologies.
• Help in engagements to migrate applications and datasets to AWS cloud.
• Innovate by working with the customer’s business and technology stakeholders.
• Create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise for Business Insurance.
• Guide through your hands on experience leading large-scale global data lake/warehousing and analytics projects.
• Manage and monitor the data quality of the content in the data architecture and platforms.
• Help to establish governance and control processes to ensure successful and healthy Data Platform implementations.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for following and sharing Data Quality and highlight opportunities and challenges to complement our initiatives.

What Will You Do?

• Build implementation patterns using your expertise and background on AWS cloud natives capabilities such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon EMR and Snowflake.
• Deliver solutions on technical engagements with partners and customers.
• Perform Proof of Concept/s on technologies and services to support business needs.
• Share learnings from your past large-scale global data lake/warehousing and analytics projects.
• Collaborate effectively across organizations.
• Educate and choose right types of datastores for the use case (NoSQL, SQL databases, Object and File stores and etc.)
• Create blue prints and assist in engineering designs leveraging AWS Serverless and data services.
• Exhibit customer facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs and best practices.
• Interact with different levels of the organization from development to C-Level executives
• Manage and Monitor the data quality of the content in the data architecture and platforms.
• Balance tactical vs strategic trade-offs when making decisions or proposing solutions.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Bachelor’s in technology related field or equivalent with 5+ years of technology Architecture experience
• Provided mentorship to architects
• 4+ years of experience of Data Lake implementation
• 3+ years of experience in AWS cloud
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning in Object Storage (AWS S3 or similar.)
• Experience with one or more relevant tools (Kafka, AWS Kinesis services, AWS Glue, Data Brew, DeeQu, and Drools.)
• Experience with no SQL and GraphQL technologies.
• Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Javascript and etc.,)
• Organizational and transformational experience in an agile operating model
• Establishes strategic technology direction and architecture vision for an organization
• Strong proven Software Engineering experience
• Developed technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goals
• Proven track record of influencing senior leadership
• Insurance technology experience
• Strong grasp of value creation and business capability models
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Must be passionate about technology transformations
• Has hands on experience in the last 3 years
• Executed technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API Strategy
• Current deep experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps
• Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud
• Good understanding of security
• Experienced with large scale technology platforms
• Experience modernizing data technology and information architecture on cloud
• Exposure and understanding of advanced analytics techniques using ML and AI
• Hands on experience with data technologies on cloud

What is a Must Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.
  • Six years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture within a line of business or enterprise area
