G&G Independent Insurance, Robbins Insurance Group

G&G Independent Insurance has acquired Branson, Missouri-based Robbins Insurance Group.

G&G has been serving the insurance needs of clients in Missouri and surrounding states for over nine years.

Robbins Insurance Group was founded by Blake Robbins in early 2018. As part of the merger, current RIG employees will join the G&G team. Blake Robbins will continue to own and operate Robbins Financial, and act as a consultant to G&G during the transition period.

World Insurance Associates, Morris Insurance Group

World Insurance Associates LLC acquired the business of Morris Insurance Group Inc. of Clinton Township and Rochester, Michigan

Morris is an insurance agency providing personal insurance, commercial insurance and health and life insurance.

World Insurance Associates is headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey.

South Central

Alliant Insurance Services, McAnally Wilkins LLC

Alliant Insurance Services acquired McAnally Wilkins LLC, a provider of property/casualty insurance solutions for the oil and gas service industry.

Based in Odessa, Texas, McAnally Wilkins provides insurance and risk management expertise, as well as comprehensive employee benefits programs for businesses focused on oilfield service and oil transportation.

McAnally Wilkins offers a broad range of insurance programs to meet the complex needs of oil and gas businesses and contractors. The agency will continue to service clients from its Texas and Oklahoma-based office locations.

Alera Group, Sheridan Insurance Group

Alera Group, a national insurance and wealth services firm, acquired Austin, Texas-based Sheridan Insurance Group, a team of experienced professional liability specialists helping meet the insurance and risk management needs of the healthcare community.

The Sheridan Insurance Group exclusively serves the healthcare industry and focuses on professional liability insurance. Their core expertise is focused on serving the needs of individual physicians and surgeons, physician groups, locum tenens organizations, staffing companies, clinics, surgery centers, hospitals, and IPA’s (independent practice associations).

The Sheridan Insurance Group team will continue serving clients in their existing roles. The terms of the transaction were not announced.

Risk Placement Services, RHP General Agency

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. subsidiary Risk Placement Services Inc. acquired Houston, Texas-based RHP General Agency Inc.

RHP’s Greg Vanek and his team will remain in their current location under the direction of Russell Duffey, head of RPS’ program administration division.

RHP is a managing general agency specializing in residential property insurance for clients throughout Texas.

Arthur J. Gallagher is an insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Southeast

Patriot Growth Insurance Services, Sherrill & Co.

Patriot Growth Insurance Services, a broker and insurance services firm with offices in Pennsylvania and Florida, acquired Savannah, Georgia-based Sherrill & Co. to its constellation.

Sherrill offers P/C insurance and life and health insurance services. It was founded in 1988 by Jack Sherrill; his children, Jackson Sherrill and Margaret Hughes, joined him in the 1990s.

Patriot, founded in 2019, partners with employee benefits and property/casualty agencies across the United States. Patriot is backed by GI Partners and Summit Partners.

Hylant, Aegis Insurance Services

Privately held insurance brokerage, Hylant, acquired Aegis Insurance Services Inc. of Alpharetta, Georgia, a broker and agency specializing in the moving and storage industry.

Aegis, headed by CEO Barbara Stevens, will continue to operate under the Aegis name, but employees and leadership will be part of the Hylant team.

Aegis was founded in 1990 by moving and storage company owners.

ECM Solutions, IMA Financial Group

Charlotte, North Carolina-based ECM Solutions has agreed to merge with IMA Financial Group, an integrated financial services company.

ECM, which has 80 associates and offices in Charlotte and in Greenville, South Carolina, will operate as an IMA company.

IMA specializes in risk management, insurance, wholesale brokerage and wealth management.

Brown & Brown, Brownlee Agency

Brown & Brown has acquired Georgia-based Brownlee Agency. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Tifton, Georgia, Brownlee offers P/C insurance across the state but specializes in business and agriculture industry coverages.

The agency will operate within Brown & Brown’s retail segment, managed by Tim Soriano.

Publicly traded Brown & Brown is an insurance brokerage with 500 locations around the globe.

Confie, Estrella Insurance

Confie has acquired Miami-based Estrella Insurance, a firm that has 190 offices in multiple states.

Estrella, a P/C insurance franchisor, will now be part of Confie’s Freeway Insurance brand.

Estrella has locations in Florida, California, Arizona and Texas, and the acquisition greatly expands Freeway’s presence in Florida.

Confie, headquartered in California, has more than 750 retail locations in 23 states.

Oakbridge Insurance Agency, Swoope Insurance

Atlanta-based Oakbridge Insurance Agency, which has continued to expand through the partnership model with smaller agencies around the South, announced it has added new agencies and offices in Mississippi.

The expansion into the state includes Swoope Insurance, in Columbus, along with two agent offices in Starkville and Amory: Jack Campbell and William Hilbun, formerly with GCM Insurance.

Campbell began his career in the insurance industry in 1987 and specializes in personal and commercial products and group health.

Hilbun, who started selling insurance in 2005, specializes in construction and habitational risk insurance.

Swoope Insurance was founded in 1926 and is owned by Mark Hardy.

West

ALKEME, Infinity Insurance Group

ALKEME acquired the Infinity Insurance Group in Idaho.

Infinity Insurance is an insurance agency with offices in Post Falls. Infinity Insurance broke away from its parent company in 2010 and has focused on providing auto, home, health, life and commercial insurance through their network of carriers.

ALKEME is based in Ladera Ranch, California and is backed by GCP Capital Partners.
