2023 is a BIG year for Insurance Journal. We turn 100 years old! To begin our 100th anniversary celebration, we are launching our first-ever holiday album. Yes, that’s right!
The first single — “O Property O Casualty” — launched in early December with lyrics and vocals by George Jack, as well as music and arrangements by Austin-area musician Brent Baldwin.
The album, titled “Have A Claims Free New Year,” is a history-making venture that creates a “new” genre of Christmas tunes by cleverly mixing holiday music and insurance specific lyrics with a comedic effect. There is nothing else out there quite like this album — you’ll definitely want to bring these tunes to your holiday party this year.
Patrick Wraight, director of the Insurance Journal’s Academy of Insurance, which developed the project, said, “I am proud of this project. It’s the result of almost a year of planning and preparation. I hope that the insurance industry has as much fun listening to it as it was for us to produce. I am grateful to our leadership at Wells Media Group who had the vision to bring this project to fruition.”
Aside from “O Property O Casualty,” other songs on the “Have a Claims Free New Year” album, include:
- Deck the Halls (With Parametric)
- Umbrella Night (to the tune of Silent Night)
- We Wish You a Book of Business
- CGL (to the tune of Jingle Bells)
- Auld Professional Lines (Auld Lang Syne)
- A Drone Hit a Stranger (to the tune of Away in a Manger)
- Bundle Your Housetop (to the tune of Up On the Housetop)
- Please Cyber St. Nicholas (to the tune of Jolly Old)
- ‘Twas Work Comp Krampus Eve
All singles are available wherever music is sold and/or downloaded, including Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon Music.
Insurance is for every season, but this album is Insurance Journal’s holiday gift to you, our readers. We thank you for reading Insurance Journal and wish you a healthy and prosperous New Year.
